AMSTERDAM, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Former Dutch Finance Minister Wouter Bos, tipped as a potential new president of the Dutch Central Bank (DNB), will start work with KPMG next month, the accountants and advice bureau said on Sunday.
Bos, 47, resigned as finance minister in March to spend more time with his family, but his name had circulated in recent weeks as a possible successor to DNB president Nout Wellink, whose term ends in July 2011.
But Bos will instead start work on Oct. 1 with KPMG where he will be responsible for the public sector and healthcare. He will also advise KPMG's financial services sector department.
In an interview earlier on Sunday, Bos told news agency ANP that a job with the DNB was currently 'not under consideration.'
As Dutch finance minister with the Labour party, Bos nationalized ABN AMRO and the Dutch operations of Fortis in October 2008 at the height of the credit crisis.
The Finance Ministry, now headed by Christian Democrat Jan Kees de Jager, said in August it would limit DNB presidents to just two terms as it seeks to improve DNB governance.
Wellink, a member of the European Central Bank governing council, is currently in his second term as DNB president.
Bos, who will work four days a week at KPMG, said he does not expect to return to Dutch politics for a 'long time.'
