The Mortgage Bankers Association releases Weekly Mortgage Market Index for the week ended Oct. 8, versus the prior week, 7 a.m. (1100 GMT). The mortgage market index read 782.6 and the refinancing index was 4,180.8 in the previous week.
The Labor Department releases import-export prices for September, 8:30 a.m. (1230 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey forecast a 0.2 percent drop in imports and a 0.2 percent rise in export prices. In the prior month, import prices rose 0.6 percent and export prices rose 0.8 percent.
