LONDON, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Shares in BG Group rose more than 3 percent on Wednesday on talk of a possible bid from China's CNOOC, traders said.
One trader said the talk focused around a bid of 1,400 pence a share.
A BG spokeswoman said: 'We don't comment on bid rumours or speculation'.
At 1452 GMT, BG stock was trading up 3.2 percent at 1,181 pence. Around 4.6 million BG shares had changed hands, against a 30-day daily average of 5.6 million.
