NEW YORK, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Suncor Energy Inc says planned maintenance on one of its oil sands upgraders was completed on schedule, with the equipment now back in operation.
The Calgary, Alberta-based company said over the weekend that 700 contractors helped complete the maintenance, which began last month at operations near Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Suncor has a goal of producing 280,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day this year.
In August, the company reported an outage at a hydrogen reformer unit at its Alberta oil sands base plant.
