HOUSTON, Oct 24 (Reuters) - ConocoPhillips was restoring critical steam systems and hydrogen supply at its 120,200 barrel per day (bpd) Rodeo, California, refinery after both were lost in malfunctions on Friday.
'All personnel were accounted for and there have been no injuries associated with this incident,' said Conoco spokesman Bill Stephens in a statement. 'Crews are working to restore both systems.'
Steam is a necessary component to refining crude oil and hydrogen is used to boost motor fuel production and reduce pollution.
