BERLIN, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Artificially holding down a currency is short-sighted and harms everyone in the end, German Chancellor Angela Merkel was quoted as saying in an interview due to be published in a German newspaper on Wednesday.
'A policy that relies on holding down the currency at an artificially low level in order to improve a country's export opportunities is short-sighted and harms everyone at the end of the day,' Merkel was quoted as saying in Die Welt.
