NEW YORK, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Pratt & Whitney, which is part of United Technologies, said on Sunday that it had signed a three-year labor agreement that covers more than 3,400 union employees in Connecticut.
The agreement, effective Dec. 6, allows the company to close its Cheshire facility and the Connecticut Airfoil Repair Operations in the coming year.
The agreement is with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers representing hourly employees at Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, East Hartford and Cheshire.
