HOUSTON, March 6 (Reuters) - BP Plc's 405,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery reported flaring on Friday, according to a notice filed with the U.S. National Response Center.
The release was due to overpressure on a unit or a relief valve release, according to the notice.
BP's Whiting is sixth-largest refinery in the United States.
