* Says was aware of allegations of connection between senior Angolan government
officials and Nazaki Oil
* On March 9, SEC contacted Cobalt by telephone informally requesting
additional information regarding allegations
* Learned that SEC is seeking to understand nature of Cobalt'S relationships
with members of contractor group - SEC filing
* Believes its activities in Angola have complied with all laws, including
foreign corrupt practices act
* Voluntarily contacted DOJ on March 11 with respect to SEC's request, offered
to respond to any requests the DOJ may have
