NEW HAVEN, Conn., April 9 (Reuters) - Current U.S. economic conditions are not strong enough for the Federal Reserve to reverse its monetary policy stance, a top Federal Reserve official said on Saturday.
Janet Yellen, vice chair of the Fed, said at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, that the central bank was well aware of the challenges it will face once it starts to exit the extreme policy measures put in place during the U.S. recession and financial crisis.
