WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Qlik Technologies Inc. (QLIK), Thursday reported second-quarter net loss of $2.2 million or $0.03 per share, compared to net income of $3.5 million or $0.02 per share in the second quarter last year.
Adjusted net income for the quarter was $1.2 million or $0.01 per share, compared to $3.7 million or $0.04 per share in the second quarter last year.
On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.02 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Net loss and adjusted net income for the second quarter include a $0.4 million foreign exchange gain, compared to a foreign exchange gain of $0.7 million in the prior year period.
Total revenues for the quarter were $74.0 million, an increase of 45 percent from $51.1 million in the second quarter last year.
Analysts estimated revenues of $70.12 million for the quarter.
Moving ahead, the company expects adjusted net income to be in the range of $0.00 to $0.02 per share, and total revenues to be in the range of $69.0 million to $72.0 million for the third quarter.
Analysts currently expects earnings of $0.07 per share, on revenues of $69.31 million for the quarter.
For the full year, the company now expects net income to be in the range of $0.26 to $0.30 per share, compared to the prior estimate of $0.32 to $0.35 per share.
The company now expects total revenues for the full year to be in the range of $310.0 million to $320.0 million, compared to the previous estimate of $295 million - $305 million.
Analysts currently expect earnings of $0.33 per share on revenues of $306.09 million for the full year.
