WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - DigitalGlobe Inc. (DGI) reported a second quarter net loss of $0.4 million, or $0.01 per share, compared to net income of $0.5 million, or $0.01 per share, for the same period last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.04 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the quarter rose to $81.7 million from $81.0 million in the prior year quarter. Eleven analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $80.37 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead to fiscal 2011, the company still expects earnings to in a range of $0.10 - $0.20 per share and revenues of $330 million - $355 million. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $0.18 per share on revenues of $339.14 million for fiscal 2011.
