CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - The New Zealand dollar showed strength against major rivals in early Asian deals on Thursday. As of now, the kiwi is trading near 2-day highs of 0.8340 against the US dollar and 64.44 versus the Japanese yen from Wednesday's closing value of 0.8322 and 64.30, respectively.
The kiwi also edged up in today's early session and currently worth 1.6913 against the euro and 1.2790 versus the Australian dollar, compared to yesterday's close of 1.6951 and 1.2819, respectively.
The NZ manufacturing activity report for the second quarter is expected to release later, today.
