WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Hershey Co. (HSY), Wednesday announced changes to its global leadership team.
The chocolate and confectionery products company named Bert Alfonso as executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer. In this role, Alfonso will have responsibility for Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Integrated Business Planning functions, among others. Alfonso, who joined Hershey in 2006, was named Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, in 2007.
Michele Buck has been named senior vice president, chief growth officer. Buck, who joined Hershey in 2005, was previously Senior Vice President, Global Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Buck will have responsibility for Strategy and Vision, Innovation, Research and Development. She will report to Hershey CEO J.P. Bilbrey.
Mike Wege has been named Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer. Wege, who joined Hershey in 2002, was previously Senior Vice President, Chocolate Strategic Business Unit. In his new role, Wege will lead the Chocolate and Sweets and Refreshment Strategic Business Units, with responsibility for building and leveraging Hershey's global brands.
