PEKING (dpa-AFX) - China is on Wednesday scheduled to release consumer and producer price data for October, setting the pace for a modest day in Asian economic activity. CPI is expected to come in at 5.4 percent, easing from 6.1 percent in September. PPI is called at 5.8 percent, down from 6.5 percent in the previous month.
Japan will provide September figures for current account and October numbers for bank lending. The current account is expected to show a surplus of 1.452 trillion yen, up from 407.5 billion yen in August. Bank lending is tipped to fall 0.2 percent on year after easing 0.3 percent in September.
South Korea will announce the unemployment rate for October, with forecasts expecting an increase to 3.3 percent from 3.2 percent in September.
