TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Japan is scheduled to release a raft of data on Tuesday, highlighting a modest day for Asian economic activity. On tap are October figures for household spending, unemployment and retail sales.
Household spending is expected to fall 1.5 percent on year after shedding 1.9 percent in September. The unemployment rate is expected to creep up to 4.2 percent from 4.1 percent in the previous month. Retail sales are tipped to add 0.6 percent on month and 0.7 percent on year after falling 1.4 percent on month and 1.1 percent on year in September.
South Korea will provide final current account figures for October. The preliminary figure showed a surplus of $3.103 billion.
