TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Japan is on Friday scheduled to release capital spending numbers for the third quarter of 2011, highlighting a light day for Asian economic activity.
Capital spending is expected to fall 3.6 percent on year after plummeting an annual 7.8 percent in the second quarter. Excluding software, capital spending is expected to fall 3.0 percent after dropping 8.2 percent in the previous three months.
Also, the Bank of Japan will provide monetary base numbers for November. Monetary base saw an increase of 17.0 percent on year in October.
