CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia is scheduled to release a set of numbers on Monday, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. On tap are trade balance and housing finance figures for October.
The trade balance is expected to show a surplus of A$1.8 billion, down from A$2.564 billion in September. Housing finance saw a monthly increase of 2.2 percent in September, while lending finance collected 1.9 percent.
Japan will provide November figures for its domestic corporate goods price index, as well as its consumer confidence survey and machine tool orders. CGPI was down 0.7 percent on month and up 1.7 percent on year in October, while the consumer confidence index came in with a score of 38.6 and tool orders spiked an annual 26.0 percent.
India will announce October industrial production figures, with forecasts calling for a contraction of 0.6 percent on year following the 1.9 percent increase in September.
Finally, the Stock Exchange of Thailand is closed on Monday in observance of Constitution Day. It will re-open on Tuesday.
