CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Japan is scheduled to release a batch of data on Tuesday, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
On tap are November figures for corporate service prices, construction orders and housing starts. In addition, the Bank of Japan will release the minutes from its monetary policy meeting on November 15 and 16.
Corporate service prices are expected to come in flat on year after adding 0.1 percent in October. Construction orders saw a 24.3 percent annual jump in the previous month. Housing starts are tipped to decline 4.9 percent on year after falling 5.8 percent in the previous month.
Taiwan will provide its leading index for November. Little change is expected from the October reading that showed a 0.2 percent monthly contraction.
Finally, the markets in Australia and New Zealand are closed on Tuesday for Boxing Day, while the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong remains closed for an extended Christmas break. All three will re-open on Wednesday.
