CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Japan is on Wednesday scheduled to release final November figures for industrial production, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. Little change is expected from the preliminary readings that showed a 4.0 percent contraction on year, a 2.6 percent decline on month and a 4.1 percent monthly gain in capacity utilization. Malaysia will provide December numbers for consumer prices, with analysts expecting the rate to come in at 3.1 percent, down from 3.3 percent in November. Australia will release December figures for motor vehicle sales and the Westpac leading index for November. Motor vehicle sales fell 0.7 percent on month in November, while the Westpac index saw an increase of 0.1 percent on month in October.
