CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia is on Monday scheduled to release producer price numbers for the fourth quarter of 2011, highlighting a very light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. The producer price index is expected to rise 0.4 percent on quarter and 3.0 percent on year following the 0.6 percent quarterly gain and the 2.7 percent yearly increase in the third quarter. Most of the regional bourses are closed for the Lunar New Year, including South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
