CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - The Reserve Bank of Australia is on Tuesday scheduled to release the minutes from its monetary policy meeting on March 6, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. At the meeting, the RBA kept its benchmark cash rate unchanged at 4.25 percent for a second consecutive month.
Australia also will release January figures for the Conference Board leading and coincident indexes.
Taiwan will provide February figures for export orders, with analysts expecting an increase of 11.5 percent on year following the 8.63 percent annual contraction in January.
Finally, the Japanese stock markets are closed on Tuesday for the Vernal Equinox. They will re-open on Wednesday.
