WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Sanmina-SCI Corp. (SANM), an integrated manufacturing services company, reported a second-quarter net loss of $1.4 million or $0.02 per share, compared to a net income of $13.1 million or $0.16 per share last year.
Excluding items, non-GAAP net income was $22.5 million or $0.27 per share, compared to $24.9 million or $0.30 per share a year ago.
On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.27 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales for the quarter declined to $1.46 billion from $1.57 billion a year ago.
Analysts expected revenues of $1.51 billion for the quarter.
Looking ahead, the company expects earnings of $0.26-$0.31 per share and revenues of $1.475 billion-$1.525 billion for the third quarter.
Analysts currently expect earnings of $0.37 per share on revenues of $1.57 billion for the third quarter.
