TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Japan is on Monday scheduled to release September figures for retail sales, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Retail sales are expected to rise 1.0 percent on year and fall 1.5 percent on month after rising 1.7 percent on year and 1.5 percent on month in August. Sales from large retailers are called lower by 1.2 percent on year after dipping an annual 0.9 percent in the previous month.
Singapore will provide producer price numbers for September; in August, PPI was up 2.0 percent on year and 2.5 percent on month.
