CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Japan will on Thursday release October figures for retail sales, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Retail sales are expected to rise 1.0 percent on month and fall 0.8 percent on year after shedding 3.6 percent on month and adding 0.4 percent on year in September. Sales from large retailers are expected to dip an annual 2.2 percent after falling 1.0 percent in the previous month.
Australia will provide Q3 figures for private capital expenditure and October numbers for new home sales. Capex is called higher by 2.0 percent after rising 3.4 percent in the second quarter; new home sales were down 3.7 percent on month in September.
New Zealand will see the November results for the NBNZ business confidence survey and the ANZ activity outlook. Business confidence saw a score of 17.2 in October, while the activity outlook came in at 25.5.
Hong Kong will provide October data for retail sales; in September, sales were up 8.5 percent on year.
Singapore will release October numbers for producer prices; in September, prices were up 0.1 percent on month and 0.4 percent on year.
