ECHING (dpa-AFX) - Germany-based embedded computer technology firm Kontron AG (KOTRF.PK, KOTFY.PK) said it has appointed Michael Boy, 52, as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective June 16.
He succeeds Andrea Bauer, who left the company by mutual consent on December 31, 2013. Following Andrea Bauer's departure, Gerhard Klingele acted as Kontron's interim CFO.
In the role, Boy will be responsible for Finance & Controlling, Treasury, M&A, Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations and Internal Audit.
Boy has served as Faber-Castell AG's CFO (Finance and Controlling), since 2006. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all commercial activities globally, and for setting up domestic and international companies.
Previously, Boy was a member of the European management team at International Flavors & Fragrances in the Netherlands, where he was Finance Director for the EMEA region. He has also worked for consumer goods company Unilever.
Rainer Erlat, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said, 'With Michael Boy, we were able to enlist a dedicated and seasoned finance executive who will complete Kontron's management team. His expertise and broad experience in international companies will take Kontron AG forward in a crucial area of its operations.'
The stock closed up 1.7 percent on Tuesday at 5.05 euros.
