CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - The U.S. dollar strengthened against the U.S. dollar in the European session on Wednesday.
The U.S. dollar rose to 1.1105 against the euro and 124.39 against the yen, from early lows of 1.1188 and 123.78, respectively.
Moving away from an early near 2-week low of 0.9301 against the Swiss franc, an 8-day low of 0.7818 against the Australian dollar and a 6-day low of 1.5374 against the pound, the greenback advanced to 0.9369, 0.7768 and 1.5253, respectively.
Against the New Zealand and the Canadian dollars, the greenback edged up to 0.7137 and 1.2443 from early lows of 0.7192 and 1.2384, respectively.
If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.07 against the euro, 126.00 against the yen, 0.96 against the franc, 0.75 against the aussie, 1.48 against the pound, 0.69 against the kiwi and 1.26 against the loonie.
