WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Portland General Electric Company (POR) reported earnings for its fourth quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line came in at $51 million, or $0.57 per share. This was up from $43 million, or $0.55 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.62 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.2% to $499 million. This was down from $500 million last year.
