BENTONVILLE (dpa-AFX) - A Walmart store in New Jersey has started posting signs across its parking lot that shows customer how many steps they will have to take from there to the entrance.
The signs are part of the Healthy Parking Spots Initiative by the Sussex County Y and other partners, reports NJHerald.com.
Corey Brown, associate executive director of the Sussex County Y, said the signs are a motivator for people because it shows them the health benefit of parking a little farther from the door when at the store.
The round trips advertised on the signs range from 336 steps to 692 steps.
