STOCKHOLM (dpa-AFX) - Swedish retailer Hennes & Mauritz AB (HNNMY.PK, HMRZF.PK, HEN.L) reported Thursday that its November sales including VAT increased 9 percent in local currencies.
In the preceding month of October, sales increased 10 percent including VAT in local currencies.
In the fourth quarter, sales including VAT increased 8 percent to 61.05 billion Swedish kronor from last year's 56.48 billion kronor. Sales including VAT increased 7 percent in local currencies. Sales excluding VAT in the fourth quarter amounted to 52.68 billion kronor, up from 48.69 billion kronor a year ago.
In the financial year 2016, sales including VAT increased by 7 percent in local currencies. In kronor, sales including VAT grew 6 percent to 222.82 billion kronor.
The total number of stores amounted to 4,351 on November 30, compared to 3,924 last year.
