LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Capita Plc (CPI.L) announced Tuesday the appointment of Jonathan Lewis as Chief Executive Officer with effect from December 1. At that time, he will also join the Capita Board.
Nick Greatorex, Group Finance Director, will continue to lead the Company as Interim Chief Executive until November 30.
Lewis' most recent role was as Chief Executive of Amec Foster Wheeler until its acquisition by John Wood Group.
Lewis joined Amec Foster Wheeler in 2016, following a 20-year career at oilfield services company Halliburton. In his early career, Jon held a number of senior academic positions at both the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London (NERC Research Fellow) and Heriot Watt University.
Lewis said, 'Capita continues to have tremendous potential given its strong long term client relationships, outstanding talent, valuable technology portfolio and leading market position. I have spent my career innovating and deploying services to enable customers to have smarter processes and create more efficient organisations, and that is Capita's central proposition. I believe there is a real opportunity to build a truly world class technology-enabled services business from Capita's embedded foundations.'
