WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Extending a recent downward trend, oil service stocks have moved notably lower during trading on Thursday. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index is down by 1.1 percent after hitting its lowest intraday level in a month.
The weakness among oil service stocks comes amid a decrease by the price of crude oil, with crude for November delivery sliding $0.75 to $51.29 a barrel.
