WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (KLUCQ.OB) reported a profit for its third quarter that rose from the same period last year.
The company's profit came in at $22 million, or $1.29 per share. This compares with $20 million, or $1.16 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Excluding items, Kaiser Aluminum Corporation reported adjusted earnings of $24 million or $1.43 per share for the period.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.55 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company's revenue for the quarter rose 18.0% to $393 million from $333 million last year.
