BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - The University of Michigan's final consumer sentiment index for August is due at 10:00 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback fell against the yen and the pound, it was steady against the euro and the franc.
The greenback was worth 106.14 against the yen, 1.2208 against the pound, 0.9879 against the franc and 1.1043 against the euro as of 9:55 am ET.
