BRUSSELS/FRANKFURT/PARIS (dpa-AFX) - Schaeffler (SCFLF.OB) reported that its net income attributable to shareholders for the first nine months of 2019 decreased considerably compared to the prior year period, to 485 million euros from 762 million euros. Earnings per common non-voting share were 0.73 euros compared to 1.15 euros. EBIT before special items was at 883 million euros compared to 1.15 billion euros, a year ago, representing an EBIT margin before special items of 8.1 percent compared to 10.7 percent.
For the nine-month period, revenue was at 10.84 billion euros compared to 10.71 billion euros, previous year. At constant currency, revenue declined by 0.1 percent.
Looking forward, Schaeffler confirmed its current year outlook for the group and the divisions.
Separately, Schaeffler announced that Dietmar Heinrich, Chief Financial Officer of Schaeffler AG since August 2017, has decided for personal reasons not to extend his current contract, which runs until July 31, 2020.
