TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJIY) Monday said its profit before tax in the first half of the year increased 23.3% to JPY12.858 billion from JPY10.432 billion in the same period a year ago.
Net profit rose to JPY8.638 billion or JPY47.58 per share from JPY6.892 billion or JPY37.99 per share last year.
Revenue for the six-month period increased 11.8% to JPY121.962 billion from JPY109.054 billion in the prior-year period. Revenues at IP services, security services and WAN services showed growth as business activities have been getting back to normal.
Looking forward, the company expects full-year profit before tax to be JPY26.3 billion with revenue of JPY250 billion. It had registered profit before tax of JPY24.2 billion and revenue of JPY226.3 billion in the previous year.
