NECKARSULM (dpa-AFX) - Information technology services provider Bechtle AG (BC8G) Thursday reported profit before tax of 88.19 million euros in the third quarter, higher than 87.03 million euros in the comparable quarter last year.
Earnings before interest and taxes or EBIT also increased to 89.4 million euros from 88.43 million euros in the previous year.
Net profit for the quarter was 63.41 million euros or 0.50 euros per share compared with 62.73 million euros or 0.50 per share last year.
Quarterly revenue increased 14.6% to 1.464 billion euros from 1.277 billion euros last year, driven by growth in business volume.
The company said its business volume grew by 20.5% to 1.803 billion euros in the third quarter.
Looking forward, Thomas Olemotz, Chairman of the Executive Board of Bechtle commented, 'Under normal conditions, the positive business performance in the first nine months would give us a very good opportunity to exceed our forecast. However, in view of the high uncertainties regarding the overall economic development, we are not changing the forecast, but still consider it realistic to achieve the targets.'
