LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Smiths Group PLC (SMIN.L), a British engineering company, said on Friday that it has inked a deal to sell Smiths Interconnect to Molex Electronic Technologies Holdings, LLC for £1.3 billion in cash.

The transaction is expected to be closed in the second half of fiscal 2026. Post transaction, Smiths Group aims to focus more on the industrial engineering company.
