BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - Croatia's unemployment rate decreased for the first time in six months in February, figures from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed on Tuesday.
The registered jobless rate dropped to 4.7 percent in February from 4.9 percent in January. In the corresponding month last year, the rate was 5.1 percent.
There were 83,992 unemployed people in February, down from 87,935 in the prior month. Data also showed that the number of employed persons decreased by 0.6 percent to 1.694 million from 1.703 million in January.
