TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Japan will on Tuesday release May figures for household spending and its leading index, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Spending is expected to rise 1.4 percent on month and sink 2.2 percent on year after rising 1.6 percent on month and falling 0.5 percent on year in April. The leading index was up 0.7 percent on month in April and the coincident was up 1.3 percent.
Taiwan will provide June numbers for consumer prices; in May, overall inflation was up 0.19 percent on month and 2.20 percent on year.
