Inside information: Solar Foods signs Supply Agreement with Superb Food in the United States
Solar Foods and Superb Food, a food innovation start-up company, have signed a Supply Agreement of EUR 1.39 million. Superb Food develops and markets solutions for the health and vitality of people on their GLP-1 journey, helping them live their best life with no compromises.
The demand for functional nutrition is growing especially in the United States. Solein excels as an ingredient especially in the Health & Performance nutrition category - also in products aimed at people with special dietary needs.
"Superb Food is a start-up company with the mission to create a healthier community through smart, functional foods. There is a new, emerging market rapidly growing within the health & performance nutrition category, focusing on the condition-based consumers, for example GLP-1 users, which is reshaping food habits and consumer demand. It's a testament to Solein's versatility and functionality that it is well-suited also for products aimed at consumers with very specific dietary needs", says Juan Manuel Benitez-Garcia, Chief Commercial Officer of Solar Foods.
The agreement includes a commitment to purchase a total amount of 80 tonnes of Solein from Q3 2025 to the end of Q2 2028. The total value of the agreement for Solar Foods is around EUR 1.39 million, based on the current exchange rate.

Superb Food will be developing Solein-powered products for the United States market, aiming for a product launch in the near future. The company will communicate further details about the upcoming products and their launches in due course.
